The Chatham Historical Society was established in 1963 and today operates complex which includes an 1840 one-room school house and museum, opened in 2006. The present museum houses artifacts and memorabilia that tell the stories of East Hampton, Middle Haddam and Cobalt history.
May 6th: Sears Park and Lake Hotels Meet at Sears Park Parking lot at 68 North Main street.
June 3rd: Spellman Point Meet at Community Hall on Spellman Point Rd.
July 1st: Hurd State Park Meet at the main gate and near the gate at the intersection of Route 151 and Hurd Park rd.
August 12th: Middle Haddam
September 9th: Salmon River State Park, Comstock Bridge & Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Reunion. Learn the history of the Comstock Covered bridge and the locationof the CCC Camp and its many achievements. Meet at Salmon River SP parking area on Rt.16.
October 21st: Lake View Cemetary Go back in time and learn about the people who lived in the area and their achievements. Drive trough entrance on Summit Rd.
November 11th: Salmon River Walk from State Park Explore the beauty and serenity of the Salmon River. Meet at Salmon River SP parking area on Route 16.

The Chatham Historical Society will again sponsor the Townwide Tag Sale. This date is earlier than last year, and promises to be the biggest and best yet. More information will follow. So start cleaning out your attic, garage, and cellar today!
